Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery is proud to announce it will be hosting a third annual event in honor of the National Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day (BRA Day) on Wednesday, October 15. BRA Day is celebrated on the third Wednesday in October, and is a day dedicated to promote information and awareness regarding post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. Research has shown that not all women are made aware of their breast reconstruction options at the time of a breast cancer diagnosis. We have the power to close that loop through awareness efforts!
At Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery’s celeBRAtion event, patients will share stories and the community will have the opportunity to meet the surgeons and staff. Ultimately, our goal is to educate the public about their options in breast reconstruction and share how reconstruction can restore your quality of life.
We invite you to attend as we celeBRAte this nationally-recognized day. The celeBRAtion event will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, CO 80124, from 5:30-7:30 pm. This free, community event will include an evening of appetizers, cocktails and survivor stories, as well as time to meet the physicians of Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery. Patients of Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery will also have the option to create a video testimonial at the event.
What our physicians say about our celeBRAtion:
“We recognize that from numerous studies, most women are completely unaware of their options when it comes to breast reconstruction. One of the initiatives of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons that we're partnering with here at Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery is to make sure that every woman in our community is aware of their options when it comes to post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. We believe with a passion that every woman should be aware of their choices when it comes to breast reconstruction and should have these choices available to them in a safe and timely manner. “ - Dr. Jeremy Z. Williams
“BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) Day is a wonderful opportunity for us to partner with our patients and our community to make sure that every woman understands her options as it relates to reconstruction after mastectomy and is aware that these options can be afforded in a safe manner and in a timely manner. Our goal is that every woman will be aware that reconstruction is a possibility for them after being touched by breast cancer.” – Dr. Christopher Williams
