At The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery, we believe that if you are armed with information and educated about your choices, you will ultimately make the best decision for you about breast reconstruction. That’s why we feel it is important that our physicians spend a lengthy amount of time with you during your consultation in an effort to allow you to feel comfortable with the options presented to you and make an informed choice.
Prior to your scheduled consultation, we will collect your insurance information and will call your insurance company to verify your benefits. This will allow us to ensure that the insurance company will, in fact, allow us to see you for this consultation. If so, we will send you a link to a Breast Reconstruction Video we have developed which outlines the options in breast reconstruction we offer here at our office, just as an introduction to help stimulate questions prior to coming into the office.
What You Can Expect
During your breast reconstruction surgery consultation at The Breast Center Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery, you will first meet with your board-certified plastic surgeon. He will discuss your concerns and your goals in detail so that you create a dialog about what you expect from the surgery. After a brief examination, he’ll discuss the options available to you. He will relate it to your body specifically, giving you a clear picture and a realistic representation of what to expect. He will also discuss all the risks and complications with you as well so that you are completely engaged and informed.
There will be ample time for you to ask questions and talk about any concerns you may have about the surgery.
After you’ve talked with your physician, you will meet with your Patient Care Coordinator, who will develop a treatment plan with you. She will present the costs associated; you will have an idea of the cost of the entire breast reconstruction process during this consultation. Your coordinator can answer additional questions along the way and will coordinate surgery with your general surgeon, oncologist, and other specialists you may be seeing during this time. She will gather insurance information for pre-authorizations and work closely with your insurance company as well.
We look forward to meeting you at your consultation and helping to navigate your steps as you journey through this decision-making process. To schedule a consultation with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons, please call 720-457-4461 or schedule an appointment online.
